Ahh, Spring!

Linda Ruzicka

As the glowing Spring sun
thaws out the frozen ground
I find my chilled soul
turning toward the gentle warmth
Winter, now a ghost of white
as the birds trill glad tidings
my spirit lifts up in a song for
joyful expectations of green growth
As the wind, now a breeze blowing
a fresh, clean, sweet scent
inhaling deeply the intoxication
Ahh, Spring, How I longed
to see the buds bursting forth
Ahh, Spring!
