Moon Goddess

Nancy Jackson

In the twilight hours she is at home
Casting her soft pale light from above
Bringing a peaceful end to the day
Spreading her unselfish gifts of love

Her magic is felt throughout the night
Both her heart and mine beat as one
Giving me courage where I am lacking
Until first signs of the rising sun

Baring my soul for her alone
I bathe in her ethereal glow
Sharing my innermost secrets and dreams
Finding comfort by in letting go

My eyes feel heavy as I drift
Sleep falls upon me much too soon
Guarded by the protective ray of light
Of the Goddess of the moon
